I teach from my home studio in Kingswood Road, Monmouth.
I’m not currently offering lessons at students’ homes, so lessons take place here in Monmouth or online via Zoom. Having lessons here means we have access to all the guitars, amps, recording equipment, backing tracks and other resources in the studio.
Guitar lessons in Monmouth
If you know Monmouth, I’m close to the Co-op — rather too close, as my ever-tightening belt will testify.
Students regularly travel to me from the surrounding area, including Abergavenny, Raglan, Chepstow, Hereford, Ross-on-Wye, Gloucester, Coleford, Cwmbran, Pontypool, Usk and Newport.
I’ve even had former students travel from London, my old stomping ground, although that really is above and beyond the call of duty. Why on earth they risk venturing outside the cosy confines of civilisation and into the badlands is frankly beyond me.

The studio
My house looks like a normal house, but it is actually just the top of a much larger structure descending 30 floors into the heart of the hollowed-out, extinct Rockfield Road volcano, where I manufacture vast armies of cyborg guitarists of the future while stroking an albino cat.
Don’t let that put you off, I’m actually quite approachable and laid back.
International inspectors can confirm that my extensive underground teaching facilities contain no shark tanks, stainless-steel holding cells, mute assassins or missile silos. Nothing at all, in fact, that would indicate a desire for world domination.

Before you visit
Please don’t make an unannounced visit, I’m often in the middle of a lesson and don’t want to appear rude to either you or the student I’m teaching.
Please contact me first to arrange a lesson and I’ll give you everything you need to find me.
